Supercharge your Brand by having meaningful conversations

The art of good conversation, is listening.

A common mistake made by many brands is in how they use their social media to communicate with their audience. They are too busy talking at their audience, instead of listening to and talking with them.

Nobody wants to hear to a monologue, people are social and love a good discussion, which is why all good conversations start with listening. When people know you are paying attention, they will ask more questions, giving you the opportunity to reply and therefore demonstrate expertise and deliver value.

These conversations with give you priceless insight, build trust and create more meaningful relationships. Customers will continue to come back and will tell others about you and what you do because they appreciate being acknowledged, understood and heard.


How to do it properly:

1) REPLY TO EVERY COMMENT

Make sure you reply to every comment as soon as possible. Set up some notification system and when you do respond, keep the conversation going by asking questions too.

 

2) LEAVE COMMENTS ON THE PROFILES OF OTHERS

Don't wait for them to come to you, reach out to your audience and engage with them wherever they are - groups, comment threads or through DM / Email.

 

3) MAKE MEANINGFUL CONTRIBUTIONS

Respect the platform and the mindset of the person on there. Add to the discussion and resist the temptation to promote what you offer. Give value first and let them come to you.
